DUI Crash Leaves 1 Dead and 2 Injured

A man who was suspected of drunk driving causes a DUI crash that kills one man and leaves two other women critically injured.

Gregario Diaz, 24, was driving under the influence of alcohol around 2:00 a.m. on the wrong way of the southbound Holly Drive ramp, heading north in the southbound lanes when he crashed into an on coming vehicle killing the driver, Guido Bisson, 46.

The two woman passengers in Diaz’s car suffered major injuries. One woman remains on life support with severe brain damage at Huntington Memorial Hospital.

Diaz was taken to County-USC Medical Center with extensive leg injuries and was later arrested for DUI.

A second collision happened, Jennifer Wrigley hit the back of Diaz’s sedan while it was on its side. Wrigley and her passenger were not injured.

Wrigley was arrested by police and taken into custody for suspicion of felony drunk driving.

Driving Under the Influence in San Diego County

In California, it is unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle while under the influence of any kind of alcoholic beverage or drug.

If you have 0.08 percent or more, by weight, blood alcohol concentration, you will be charged with DUI or driving while intoxicated if arrested. You may face a fine and jail time if convicted.
