Vista DUI Crash Leaves 17 Year-Old Dead

A fatal Vista DUI crash claims the life of a 17 year-old teenage boy after a suspected drunk driver loses control of his vehicle, veers off the road and rolls over after his car crashed through a bus stop shelter on Sunday, said the California Highway Patrol.

The drunken driving incident happened on East Vista Way near Mason Road early Sunday morning about 2:00a.m. In this DUI crash, again the teenager was not wearing his seatbelt and was somewhat ejected from a Ford Mustang, according to CHP Officer Eric Newbury.

The San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office said that Gerardo Chacon died at the scene. The suspected DUI driver and Oceanside resident Reyes Miranda, 20, who was driving without a license was taken to Escondido’s Palomar Medical Center where he sustained modest injuries to his back.

Miranda who was suspected of driving under the influence was arrested on charges of suspicion of felony DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter. This is a very serious charge and it is extremely important that you hire the right San Diego DUI lawyer to represent you.
