Fewer San Diego DUI Arrests Made Over Labor Day Weekend

http://www.sandiegolawcenter.com/index.htmlSan Diego County DUI arrests were slightly lower than last year over the Labor Day holiday weekend, according to the San Diego County California Highway Patrol.

There were 88 arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in San Diego County between Friday evening and late Monday night. Two less San Diego DUI incidents than last year at the same time, according to the California Highway patrol. There were no traffic related deaths reported during this holiday weekend span, as was the same last year.

Statewide drunk driving arrests were higher than in 2009. There were 1521 motorist that were charged with driving while intoxicated, compared to 1417 DUI arrest made last year. In California, 21 people died in DUI related crashes compared to last year where there were 12 DUI traffic related fatalities.
